CampusConnect safety and community guidelines

Last updated: 22 April 2024

Your University CampusConnect is a community space exclusively for applicants and students like you to meet, chat, network, and make valuable connections and friendships before and during your studies. As your first step toward study and career success, we're committed to ensuring a safe and respectful online environment.

Our Community Values and Guidelines

1. Be Inclusive

You are joining a rich and diverse community of students from various cultures, languages, and experiences. We're all responsible for promoting equality, diversity, and respect. Ensure no one feels unheard or left out.

What You Can Do:

  • Welcome all new members.

  • Reach out to people outside your regional or subject focused chat groups.

  • Regularly check in with other community members.

2. Be Active

Participate actively in this buzzing, engaged community.  Introduce yourself, ask questions, and share your experiences.  The more you contribute, the better our community becomes.

What You Can Do:

  • Share updates related to your preparation for studying.

  • Help solve problems often by sharing your experience.

3. Be Responsible

Take ownership of your interactions and help ensure everyone gets access to the right information and contacts.

What You Can Do:

  • Post questions & messages in the relevant chat groups or live events.

  • Contact group ambassadors or staff moderators for issues.

Community-Driven Moderation

As part of our commitment to maintaining a respectful community space, we want you to know that your safety is our priority.

Should you ever see any content, comments or behavior that makes you feel uncomfortable, you have the options outlined below to address it.

CampusConnect provides anonymous tools for blocking and reporting inappropriate interactions, ensuring that you can continue to engage with the community confidently and securely.  We encourage you to use these resources whenever necessary to help CampusConnect remain a welcoming place for everyone.

  • Blocking: If a student behaves inappropriately, you can block them to prevent further contact. This action is anonymous, recorded, and monitored by Admin.

  • Reporting: You can anonymously flag inappropriate messages by reporting them. These reports are reviewed by Admin who will take necessary action.
